Smiths Detection has opened a technology development center in Bangalore, India.

The site will serve as a global hub for the development and delivery of new digital technologies for use by Smiths Detection customers in the aviation, defense, city security, and ports and borders industries.

In addition, the site will also be used as a hybrid office for the digital team of over 100 people, who work with colleagues from all over the world, including at key locations in Singapore, France, Germany, UK. and the United States.

“We are delighted to officially open this site in Bangalore, which will be a critical delivery hub for the next generation of digital security technologies,” said Matt Clark, vice president of technology and program management. “The opening of this site demonstrates our commitment to grow our business across multiple industries and geographies, allowing us to further advance our global mission to make the world a safer place. “

In addition to the new Bangalore office, Smiths Detection’s India headquarters as well as its global training site are both located in Gurugram.
