WHA will collaborate with Chulalongkorn School in science and technology education

Representing a strategic alliance between the business and education sectors, the MoU was signed by Vivat Jiratikarnsakul, COO – Industrial and International, WHA Industrial Development PLC and Director of WHA TUS Co., Ltd ; Francis Chang, CEO of WHA Tus Co., Ltd., and Professor Dr Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Executive Director, Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation.

Bangkok, August 5, 2021 – Thailand’s first TusPark WHA, an innovation and incubation center in downtown Bangkok, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) to commit jointly in enhanced collaborative efforts in science and technology. The aim is to promote cooperation between students, startups and companies, in particular in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, and to provide an environment conducive to research and innovation.

The 5-year collaboration aims to create an innovation ecosystem that will promote the exchange of knowledge and information, as well as joint research projects and the joint development of entrepreneurial enterprises in three areas: new technologies, especially l artificial intelligence, robotics or others; Advanced manufacturing and industrial practices, including technologies and innovations that can transform, digitize and optimize manufacturing operations; Development of human resources including studies and projects involving training and development, and various subjects such as entrepreneurship, management or others. Both parties will also explore the possibility of collaborating and funding potential innovative business ventures incubated by ScII and / or TusPark WHA.

For ScII students, this collaboration will provide invaluable opportunities to participate in internship programs with WHA Group and TusPark WHA, to apply their knowledge and skills in real work environments to enhance their learning. They will work on the real pain points encountered by the real sector, in order to train them to analyze the problems, seek and propose solutions for the attention of the company.

TusPark WHA will also provide workspaces in its incubation center for ScII students assigned to special projects or businesses incubated by ScII. As such, students or companies will be able to benefit from the various value-added incubation services, soft landing services or other acceleration programs that TusPark WHA offers to its tenants.

During the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr Natcha Thawesaengskulthai, Vice President of Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement at Chulalongkorn University, said, “This partnership not only meets ambitions from WHA Group and TUS Holdings, but is also synchronized with our school. the specialization of the Integrated Innovation course, providing unparalleled and invaluable partnership opportunities for our organization, as well as potential synergies between Thailand and China.
